Kristin Stutz has been bringing her deep passion for the beauty industry, the coaching process and education thru her work with Strategies since 2009. Kristin has been in the industry for 22 years, with 13 of those as an owner.
Kristin first learned about Strategies after hearing Neil Ducoff speak at a conference in 200. She started her Strategies journey by attending an Incubator and working with a Certified Strategies Coach (CSC). “I was able to make changes in my company based on a solid foundation of financial understanding. I learned to make decisions based on what was right for the health of the company, not what my emotions told me to do. I truly feel that before working with Strategies, I had just bought myself a place to do hair,” she explained. “Without the changes I made, the doors of my salon would no longer be open.”
Looking back on how much Strategies’ coaching helped her, Kristin knew that she too wanted to become a CSC. “My work with Strategies really changed me as a person, giving me a newfound level of confidence and pride for what I do. Having the opportunity to give other business owners who are feeling overwhelmed hope that they can succeed and helping them discover the tools and strengths within themselves to overcome obstacles is a true honor,” she said.
When asked what potential coaching clients need to know about the coaching process Kristin says that it’s all up to the individual. “Coaching clients must understand that they will only get out of the experience what they are willing to put in. If they are looking to their coach to give them the answers, they will be disappointed,” added Kristin. “A coach’s job is not to give the answers but to teach you the tools to make you accountable and to inspire you to find the right answers. The experience is very individualized; clients must be willing to lower the walls and let down their guard. That’s when the real magic of coaching happens.”
In February of 2015, Kristin was named Strategies’ Director of Education. In addition to her busy coaching and presenting schedule, Kristin is now also responsible for content development and curation across Strategies’ seminar and webinar divisions, as well as content creation for the annual Team-Based Pay Conference. She will also be responsible for educator training, assignments and certification.
